Xinja Bank Accounts and Stash Accounts are being discontinued
Xinja has decided to discontinue the Xinja Bank Account, Stash Account and all services relating to these products, in order to focus on other areas such as its US share trading product, Dabble, should circumstances allow. As part of this decision, Xinja will be exiting from banking business and returning its ADI licence (effectively stopping being a bank).
Is my money safe?
Rest assured, your funds are completely safe.
The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) is closely monitoring Xinja’s return of deposits to ensure that your funds are returned in an orderly and timely manner. For extra peace of mind, please remember Xinja is also covered by the government guarantee (Financial Claims Scheme). Update on Xinja Bank Account and Stash Account closures as of 13th Jan 2021
Please note that all Stash accounts have been closed and all Xinja Bank Accounts that had zero balance have also been closed.
If you did not transfer all funds out of your account, you are no longer able to do so via the app. However, these funds are being transferred to another bank and you will receive detailed information via email about this and accessing your funds via the new account.
