Xinja has decided to once again open up our capital raising to a wider range of investors. As part of building a bank with our customers, we have run 2 equity crowdfunding rounds (including the first one ever in Australia) so that they had a chance to share in any upside. We would have liked to have done another equity crowdfunding round this time, however regulations prevent us from doing so (having more than $25m in assets means we are no longer eligible). Therefore the offer this time is only open to ‘sophisticated’ or ‘wholesale’ investors (as defined by ASIC).
What is a ‘sophisticated’ or ‘wholesale investor’ ?
This is a term defined by ASIC (Australian Securities and Investments Commission) and the Corporations Act as a person who has:
– a gross income of $250,000 or more per annum in each of the previous two years or
– net assets of at least $2.5 million or
– is investing in excess of $500,000 or
– holds an AFSL or
– has more than $10m in assets
What is the minimum investment?
The minimum investment parcel is $20,400 for 5,000 shares at $4.08 per share.
