We like to understand what really makes our customers tick. Often they tell us their stories. We thought it would be fun to share. Introducing explorer Solomon!
“I climbed a 6088-metre-high mountain in Bolivia, had to climb 1000 metres in the dark with crampons. Was one of the hardest things I ever did!” – Solomon

Finished my degree and left for South America on the same day. Have been travelling for six months now! Always looking to try new things, new experiences. Looking forward to coming home soon!
Tell us something unexpected about you?
I climbed a 6088-metre-high mountain in Bolivia, had to climb 1000 metres in the dark with crampons. Was one of the hardest things I ever did!
In one sentence, how would you describe your relationship with money?
Money is an enabler, if you work hard and use it wisely.
Confession time: what do you waste money on?
Can’t get through the day without my twice daily extra hot soy lattes, perhaps a few too many overpriced smashed avos from Bondi cafés as well haha.
Halo time: what’s the best thing you’ve spent money on?
Travelling of course! I love to explore new places, cultures and meeting new people.
How did you find out about xinja? Why did you choose xinja?
I was doing research on neobanks and Xinja was mentioned as one of Australia’s pioneers in that space. I chose Xinja because it gave me amazing benefits as a travel card – no set up fees, no ATM fees, no conversion rate costs and its easy to get! I think it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made for this trip, its saved me hundreds of dollars!
If sky’s the limit, what would xinja create?
A digitised banking service that has simplified products for customers, is upfront about costs and is ethically transparent to its customers.
Personalisation matters to us. What are little touches that would make your day?
Everyone loves my pink card while travelling, more funky designs in the future please!
