We think it’s important to really get to know our xinja work comrades; unpack what they’re really into – as you never know where that hobby might come in handy when you’re designing and building a bank.
In this series, we bring you the secret lives of Xinjas; an exploration of what rocks their world. We introduce this quirky duo #bbqxinja Michael and #JARVISxinja Mayur.
Weekend hobby: “churrasco (Brazilian BBQ)…” – #bbqxinja

Michael: Building a bank that puts the customer before the profit.
Mayur: Awesome people attempting to make a real difference to lives of people.
Michael: Former head of the NSA and CIA Michael Hayden. I heard him speak about cyber security, politics, social media, fake news etc in 2018. The insights were as much about how people think (or don’t think) as they were about how technology and social engineering is influencing the world. It’s hard to find much publicly available content from him but well worth listening to if you get a chance.
“We are moving from a world in which most cyber problems are mainly about stealing your data to a world in which cyber is being used to deliberately create direct kinetic consequences: effects on your information, effects on your networks, and other adverse physical effects on assets that are valuable to you. As surely as night follows day, these cyber security risks are going to expand over time.” – Michael Hayden, former Director of the National Security Agency, Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence.
Mayur: “One of the huge mistakes people make is that they try to force an interest on themselves. You don’t choose your passion; your passion chooses you.”- Jeff Bezos.
Michael: Quantum Computing – awesome possibilities.
Mayur: Artificial Intelligence – I’m very excited about the endless possibilities of AI enabling lives.
Michael: Fleeting.
Mayur: Important but not everything.
Michael: Beer, cause there is always a new one to try and always a mate to share it with.
Mayur: Coffee – Getting caffeinated has become a routine.
Michael: Holidays, north and south America, Asia, Pacific.
Mayur: My ticket to Australia, for the experience of a lifetime.
Michael: Watching the fire (aka “bush TV”) by the beach on the NSW south coast.
Mayur: Cooking @ Fusion Restaurant.
Weekend hobby: “…experimenting fusion recipes“ – #JARVISxinja
