Xinja’s 10 Golden Rules
No dickheads… However good they may be. No dress code, but sometimes you need to look smart :-). No power trips because of a hierarchy. Intellect, customer experience and implementation is all that matters.
Everything is in the cloud.
We use real-time data to evaluate our business and we reward staff on a quarterly basis with an entirely discretionary profit share. No one gets a share of the profit if our investors aren’t making money and our customers aren’t happy.
We are here to make money, that’s why we exist, and we don’t screw people over to do it. We don’t lie to our clients in person or in marketing. We don’t engage in immoral lending; if our grandmother would think it was wrong, then it is. We aim to make lots of money ethically and we are proud of it.
No one is entitled to work at Xinja. It is a huge honour to represent people’s hopes of a new bank and we earn that honour every day.
We look after our people bloody well. We stand by them if they are in genuine need.
We are truthful and direct with each other. Everyone says what they think in a robust, challenging, edgy environment. That means we won’t be the right place for everyone to work, and that’s ok.
We only hire people better than us. We never, ever settle because we need a body. We do psychometric testing to get the best people, every time.
About half our team, executive and board will be female, if they aren’t we aren’t recruiting the best people. We actively seek all types of diversity combined with brilliance.

We are building a brand new digital mobile bank, entirely around customers’ needs and their interests. Company Secretary (3 days per week)
We’re looking for a superstar Company Secretary to advise the board and its committees on governance matters as we scale at pace. You’ll report directly to the General Counsel, who reports to the CEO and will play an active role in advising the board on good practice in corporate governance while promoting the compliance framework to safeguard the integrity of our organisation.
We’re looking for a superstar Compliance Manager to help us build an amazing team of experienced compliance professionals that work ‘hand in glove’ with the business as we scale at pace. You will be a compliance expert with strong regulatory knowledge, particularly in relation to ASIC requirements.
You’ll report directly to the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) and will play an active role in the effective identification and management of compliance risk.
We need a cracking community and content manager to help us engage customers and potential customers and drive customer advocacy to help us grow rapidly. We’re looking for someone special from a good content/ socials/ community background to work in the marketing team, with at least 3 years experience (agency or client side).
We’re seeking passionate full time customer advocates that are driven to help people improve their financial wellbeing and prepare for their future. You may have also worked in a contact centre or financial services environment previously (although not essential). You will know and love the Xinja App inside out and communicate with customers via chat/messenger.
We’re looking for a DevOps engineer, with some experience utilising DevOps practices in a continuous delivery, highly secure and regulated, cloud-based environment. You’ll be embedded in the DevOps team to facilitate continuous delivery of secure, quality software to the Xinja Banking Platform using DevOps practices and principles.
We’re looking for an experienced DevSecOps engineer, with a background utilising DevSecOps practices in a continuous delivery, highly secure and regulated, cloud-based environment. You’ll report to the Security Manager and be embedded in the DevOps team to facilitate continuous delivery of secure, quality software to the Xinja Banking Platform using DevSecOps practices and principles.
We need a cracking Fraud Analyst to help us to protect our customers as we continue to scale at pace. We’re looking for someone with 5 years of experience working in a financial crimes / payment fraud monitoring role. You’ll report directly to Xinja’s Director of Payments and play a key role in protecting our customers from the bad guys.
This role reports directly to the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of Xinja. Our CRO reports to the CEO and Board. The role is critical in supporting the CRO with respect to all elements of our credit risk management framework.

Lead Xinja’s Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) function and report directly to the Chief Risk Officer (CRO). This role will act with courage, impartiality, and without fear or favour to ensure Xinja has an appropriate risk framework that is effectively implemented across the organisation.
We are looking for a very special office manager to help keep Xinja Central (a.k.a our office) running smoothly. You might be someone who has a hospitality or concierge background and is looking to join a fast growing organisation or maybe you are someone who just thinks that being an office manager is the bee’s knees!
We’re looking for a passionate technologist to work with a team of similarly skilled engineers to deliver modern, innovative software solutions. You’ll be responsible for contributing to the success of the team’s software delivery.
The Security Designer plays a strategically critical role in defining and assessing Xinja’s security strategy, architecture and practices. The security designer will be required to effectively translate business objectives and risk management strategies.
We need a cracking hands-on Test Manager to help us extend our automation testing as we continue to scale at pace. We’re looking for someone who can own the test strategy and quality assurance function to build out the automation test environment.
